The future of corrugated board

The Future

CORCEL technology is a 'green' revolution in the packaging and transportation of goods.

Corcel offers a future where manufacturers can make their own cardboard and packaging on site, at the manufacturer's premises, when and where it is needed.

Cardboard made on energy efficient CORCEL corrugators is as green as it is possible to get.  And the fact that cardboard packaging can be made where it is needed, rather than freighted around the country from manufacturer to user, means CORCEL technology is the answer for any manufacturer wanting to reduce its carbon footprint.

The strength and insulating (thermal and acoustic) properties of Corcel's closed cell paper board offers limitless applications, many of which will lead to a greener, more sustainable world.

The strength and cost effectiveness of Corcel's 3C board means it can replace wood in building materials, pallets, bulk bins, furniture, etc.

It can replace polystyrene and plastics for insulated boxes, wall boards and packing.

It enables the use of less paper and adhesive in many forms of cardboard packaging.

Other 3C™ Applications

  • Display boards - 3C board can be used to make a fully recyclable printable display board ideal for point of sale advertising.
  • 3C board with one or two liners provides an ideal core for making laminated doors and partitions super strong.
  • The core material can be delivered as a flexible mat and cut to size.
  • CORCEL Wrap comprises the CORCEL core material flexibly bonded to a single liner which makes an ideal environmentally friendly wrapping and packing material that will replace bubble wrap.
  • Building materials, comprising Corcel's 3C board laminated between top and bottom layers of MDF offer a cheaper, less wasteful and lighter building material ideal for making furniture, partitions, and numerous other products.
  • Paper bearers - 3C board can be used to make bearers out of paper, ideal as a replacement for timber bearers and fillets used in the storage and transportation of timber.  A pair of Corcel paper bearers (38mm high, 130mm wide, 900mm long) can support 7 tonnes of stacked timber.
